Efficacy and Safety of Postdilation for a Self-Expanding Transcatheter Heart Valve
CONCLUSION: For transfemoral TAVR using the Acurate neo/neo2, BPD effectively reduces relevant PVR and decreases the risk of PPM without increasing adverse events. Transcatheter heart valve damage associated with BPD is rare, commonly avoidable, and does not jeopardize the net benefit of BPD.PMID:35593542

Sex-Related Differences in Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusion: A trend has emerged in heart valve interventions with males tending to have improved outcomes after surgical intervention and females experiencing equivalent or improved outcomes after transcatheter interventions. This meta-analysis identified increased rates of acute kidney injury for males, increased rates of major bleeding for females, and otherwise comparable morbidity and mortality in males and females undergoing TMVr.

The WOEST 2 registry : A prospective registry on antithrombotic therapy in atrial fibrillation patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention
CONCLUSIONS: Patients on combined oral anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy undergoing PCI are elderly and have both a high bleeding and ischaemic risk. Over time, a NOAC plus clopidogrel became the preferred treatment. In-hospital outcomes of self-expanding and balloon-expandable transcatheter heart valves in Germany
ConclusionsWe find broadly equivalent outcomes in contemporary TF-TAVR procedures, regardless of the valve type used. Incidence of major complications is very low for both types of valve.
