CONCLUSION: ES appears safe in people with stroke as reported adverse events were predominantly minor in nature. A stroke mimic; focal neurological deficits in benign hereditary chorea?
Conclusion This case highlights the difficulties in assessing patients with new focal neurological symptoms in the presence of known, pre existing, neurological disease. It also serves to highlight how often erroneously progressive weakness is mislabelled as a ‘stroke’. Neurologists working together with acute physicians in liaison posts in MAU, provides a unique opportunity to improve overall recognition of neurological disease, and for patients potentially provides a more timely diagnostic work–up and the opportunity for early treatment.

Shared genetic basis for migraine and ischemic stroke: A genome-wide analysis of common variants
Conclusions: Our findings indicate shared genetic susceptibility to migraine and IS, with a particularly strong overlap between MO and both LAS and CE pointing towards shared mechanisms. Our observations on MA are consistent with a limited role of common genetic variants in this subtype.

Post-IV thrombolytic headache and hemorrhagic transformation risk in acute ischemic stroke
Conclusion: tPA-associated headache does not predict increased risk of HT and has no other prognostic importance in patients with AIS. Prospective studies with a larger cohort may be needed to further explore this relationship.

Primary Angiitis of the Central Nervous System Clinical Sciences
Conclusions—Adult primary angiitis of the central nervous system is a heterogenous disease, with multiterritorial, distal, and bilateral acute stroke being the most common pattern of parenchymal lesions found on magnetic resonance imaging. Our findings suggest a higher than previously thought prevalence of hemorrhagic transformation and other hemorrhagic manifestations.
