Deep brain stimulation for movement disorders after stroke: a systematic review of the literature
CONCLUSIONS: This is the first systematic review of DBS for poststroke movement disorders. Overall, most studies to date have been case reports and small series reporting heterogeneous patients and surgical strategies. This review suggests that DBS for movement disorders after a stroke has the potential to be effective and safe for diverse patients, and DBS may be a feasible option to improve function even years after a stroke.PMID:36308482 | DOI:10.3171/2022.8.JNS221334

Acute Myocardial Infarction in Severe Mental Health Illness: prevalence, clinical outcomes and process of care in United States hospitalizations.
ConclusionSchizophrenia and ‘other non-organic psychoses’ are the only SMI subtypes associated with adverse clinical outcomes after AMI. However, all patients with SMI were less likely to receive invasive management for AMI, with women and schizophrenia diagnosis being the strongest predictors of conservative management. A multidisciplinary approach between psychiatrists and cardiologists could improve outcomes of this high-risk population.

Exploring Training Effect in 42 Human Subjects Using a Non-invasive Sensorimotor Rhythm Based Online BCI
Conclusion In this study, we analyzed a pooled dataset consisting of 42 subjects’ three BCI training sessions. The behavioral performance results showed that there was a significant increase of BCI PVC accuracy (p = 0.004) and a marginal significant improvement of ITR (p = 0.05) in the third training session compared to the first session.
