Development and application of a Chinese Version of the Language Screening Test (CLAST) in post-stroke patients
Aphasia shows high incidence in stroke patients and seriously impairs language comprehension, verbal communication, and social activities. Therefore, screening aphasic patients during the acute phase of stroke is crucial for language recovery and rehabilitation. Changes in white matter microstructure related to non-linguistic cognitive impairment in post-stroke aphasia.

Eye-acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy for stroke
Conclusion: The results of this study will provide present evidence on assessing effectiveness of EA combined with rehabilitation training for patients with hemiplegia in the convalescent stage of stroke. The Effect of rTMS over the Different Targets on Language Recovery in Stroke Patients with Global Aphasia: A Randomized Sham-Controlled Study.
Conclusions: Inhibitory rTMS targeting the right pIFG and pSTG can be an effective treatment for subacute stroke patients with global aphasia. The effect of rTMS may depend on the stimulation site. Low-frequency rTMS inhibited the right pSTG and significantly improved language recovery in terms of auditory comprehension and repetition, whereas LF-rTMS inhibited the right pIFG, leading to apparent changes in spontaneous speech and repetition. Psychometric properties of the Chinese-version Stroke and Aphasia Quality of Life Scale 39-generic version (SAQOL-39g).
CONCLUSIONS: The Chinese-version SAQOL-39g has excellent reliability, validity, and feasibility for measuring the QOL of Chinese post-stroke aphasia patients. Efficacy of the Oriental herbal medicine, Jie Yu Dan, for alleviating post-stroke aphasia: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials

The efficacy and safety of pharmacological treatments for post-stroke aphasia.
Conclusions Current evidence suggests that drugs can improve the prognosis of post-stroke aphasia, such as donepezil, memantine. Donepezil has a significant effect in improving the ability of auditory comprehension, naming, repetition and oral expression. Memantine has a significant effect in improving the ability of naming, spontaneous speech and repetition. Bromocriptine showed no significant improvement in the treatment of aphasia after stroke. Crossed aphasia following cerebral infarction in a right-handed patient with atypical cerebral language dominance
ConclusionThe findings suggest that the patient has right-sided cerebral language dominance, or that both hemispheres have linguistic functions. Not all patients show linguistic capabilities on the side opposite hand preference. Effects of different frequencies of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in stroke patients with non-fluent aphasia: a randomized, sham-controlled study.
CONCLUSIONS: LF-rTMS and HF-rTMS are both beneficial to the recovery of linguistic function in patients with post-stroke non-fluent aphasia. LF-rTMS produced immediate benefits that persisted long-term, while HF-rTMS only produced long-term benefits.
