ConclusionsPatients treated with aflibercept or ranibizumab for different indications may be associated with varying risk of TAEs. The findings provide evidence to support treatment selection, taking indications and TAE risk into consideration.

Associations of ophthalmic and systemic conditions with incident dementia in the UK Biobank
CONCLUSIONS: AMD, cataract and DRED but not glaucoma are associated with an increased risk of dementia. ConclusionsGlcN treatment can decrease the risk of developing dry type AMD. Further prospective controlled studies are needed to determine the effectiveness of GlcN treatment in patients with AMD and the associated mechanism.

CONCLUSIONS: Based on evidence of very low certainty, our results may indicate the benefit of pharmacological interventions, during or directly after preventive treatment. Few trials examined short-term outcomes up to six months, nor the follow-up effects at six to 12 months, with studies suffering from great numbers of drop-outs and inconclusive results. Cardiovascular risk in patients receiving ranibizumab for exudative age-related macular degeneration: a nationwide self-controlled case-series study.
CONCLUSIONS: Ranibizumab intravitreal injections did not increase the overall risk of stroke or AMI. Although the cardiovascular risk in patient receiving ranibizumab seems to be low, continuous monthly use of ranibizumab for high-risk patients should be judged carefully.
