Does aspirin have a place in primary cardiovascular prevention by the polypill  ? Simulation study on a realistic virtual population
CONCLUSION: Until proven otherwise, aspirin has only a limited place in individuals between 35 and 65 years without a cardiovascular history. We showed how simulating therapeutic strategies on a realistic virtual population could be used for best applying available evidence.PMID:36841655 | DOI:10.1016/j.therap.2023.01.011

TICI-RANKIN mismatch: Poor clinical outcome despite complete endovascular reperfusion in the ETIS Registry
CONCLUSION: Despite complete reperfusion after EVT, half of patients had a poor clinical outcome. These patients, who were mainly older with a high initial NIHSS and an unfavorable post-EVT 24h NIHSS change, could represent a target population for early neurorepair and neurorestorative strategies.PMID:36804012 | DOI:10.1016/j.neurol.2022.10.003

Prevalence and Incidence of Cardiovascular and Renal Diseases in Type 1 Compared with Type 2 Diabetes: A Nationwide French Observational Study of Hospitalized Patients
CONCLUSIONS: Although the crude prevalent burden of CV diseases may be lower in T1DM than in T2DM, patients with T1DM may have a higher risk of incident MI, HF, all-cause death and CV death above 60 years of age, highlighting the need for improved prevention in this population.PMID:36736892 | DOI:10.1016/j.diabet.2023.101429

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 2286: Relationships between Self-Efficacy and Post-Stroke Activity Limitations, Locomotor Ability, Physical Activity, and Community Reintegration in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Cross-Sectional Study
atcho Stroke self-efficacy is under-investigated in sub-Saharan Africa. In particular, studies focusing on the relationship between self-efficacy and post-stroke functional outcomes are scarce. This cross-sectional study aimed to explore the association between self-efficacy and post-stroke activity limitations, locomotor ability, physical activity, and community reintegration in Benin, a sub-Saharan African country. To achieve this purpose, a selection of stroke patients was made from the admission registers of the physiotherapy clinics (rehabilitation units) of three reference hospitals in Benin from January to April...

Cardiovascular outcomes in patients with cancer during a 5-year follow-up: Results from a French administrative database
CONCLUSIONS: In this observational study, we have shown that patients with cancer have a higher incidence of all-cause mortality, cardiovascular mortality and myocardial infarction. However, multivariable analysis showed a lower cumulative incidence of these events.PMID:36641244 | DOI:10.1016/j.acvd.2022.11.006
