Opg and bcl-2 promote ameloblastoma cell tumorigenesis and predict prognosis for ameloblastoma patients
Publication date: July 2019Source: Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology, Volume 128, Issue 1Author(s): Ms. Jueyoung Kim, Ms. Jinsun Kim, Dr. Shadavlonjid Bazarsad, Prof. Sung-won Cho, Prof. Jin KimAmeloblastoma is the most frequent odontogenic epithelial tumor in the jaw. Though ameloblastoma belongs to benign odontogenic tumors, it exhibits a locally aggressive behavior with high recurrence rate. However, molecular markers predicting the recurrence have not been reported yet. The aim of this study was to find the prognostic markers in ameloblastoma. To detect apoptosis-related genes showing diffe...

Glyoxal and Methylglyoxal as E-cigarette Vapor Ingredients-Induced Pro-Inflammatory Cytokine and Mucins Expression in Human Nasal Epithelial Cells.
CONCLUSIONS: GO and MGO induced pro-inflammatory cytokines and MUC5AC/5B expression via ERK1/2, p38 MAPK, and NF-κB in human nasal epithelial cells. These results suggested that GO and MGO may be involved in mucus hypersecretion-related airway diseases. PMID: 32746708 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Assessment of cervical lymph node metastasis based on total RNA from saliva and tumor tissue in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma: An observational study
Conclusion: Saliva and tumor tissue RNA can be a good marker for pretreatment assessment of lymph node metastasis in patients with OSCC. Although the diagnostic accuracy which range from 63% to 65%, further characterization and study of specific mRNA, siRNA and miRNA may come out with high diagnostic accuracy.

MiR-214 Expression Is Elevated in Chronic Rhinosinusitis Mucosa and Regulates Lipopolysaccharide-Mediated Responses in Undifferentiated Human Nasal Epithelial Cell Culture
CONCLUSION: Taken together, miR-214 regulates LPS-mediated inflammation and MUC5AC expression via targeting SIRT1, and STAT3/GDF15 may involve in the regulation of miR-214 inhibitor on inflammation and MUC5AC expression.PMID:36797977 | DOI:10.1177/19458924231152683
