Effect of heme oxygenase-1 on the protection of ischemia reperfusion injury of bile duct in rats after liver transplantation
ConclusionOur study demonstrated that overexpression of HO-1 in donor liver can ameliorate the damage to bile duct and liver, and improved liver function, suggesting HO-1 might be a new therapeutic target in the treatment of IRI after liver transplantation.

Role of Wnt3a expressed by dendritic cells in the activation of canonical Wnt signaling and generation of memory T cells during primary immune responses.
In this study, we constructed a Wnt3a-expressing adenovirus and used small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting Wnt3a to investigate the influence of Wnt3a expression in DCs on the generation of TMs during primary immune responses. Our results demonstrated that the Wnt3a expression levels in DCs influenced the generation of TMs after 5days in co-culture with naïve T cells through activation of the Wnt canonical pathway. Interleukin-7 secretion levels in supernatants of DC/TNs co-cultures showed a similar pattern of Wnt3a expression levels in DCs.  IL-1β siRNA adenovirus benefits liver regeneration by improving mesenchymal stem cells survival after acute liver failure.

Blockade of the OX40/OX40L pathway and induction of PD-L1 synergistically protects mouse islet allografts from rejection.
CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates the successful construction of the recombinant lentivirus vector OX40L-RNAi-LV and adenovirus vector Ad-PD-L1 for the blockade of OX40/OX40L and activation of PD-1/PD-L1 costimulatory pathways simultaneously in pancreatic islet allografts in diabetic mice. Combination therapy with these two vectors resulted in inhibition of T cell activation, synergistically prolonging the survival time of pancreatic islet allografts.
