Person-centred language and HIV research: a cross-sectional examination of stigmatising terminology in medical literature
Conclusion Despite numerous guidelines and requirements for the use of PCL in research, our findings suggest that an alarming number of HIV-related articles are not following these guidelines. This is concerning because this labelling likely contributes to the persistence of stigma in HIV-centred care. The intentional use of person-centred language in medical research has the potential to minimise the use of stigmatising language among medical professionals, in medical education, in medical records and patient encounters, and thus reduce stigma.

Understanding and encouraging feedback‐seeking behaviour: a literature review
Conclusions  The literature review shows that feedback‐seeking behaviour is a valuable resource for individuals in work and educational settings as it aids their adaptation, learning and performance. Several individual and contextual factors that promote the seeking of feedback are presented. Although feedback‐seeking behaviour has been a subject of research for over 25 years, some unresolved issues remain. We present a self‐motives framework to resolve those issues and to stimulate future research. We conclude this paper with six actionable insights for medical educators based on the evidence reviewed.

Effectiveness of interventions to reduce ordering of thyroid function tests: a systematic review
Conclusions The results suggest that behaviour change interventions are effective particularly in reducing the volume of thyroid function tests. However, due to the poor methodological quality and reporting of the studies, the likely presence of publication bias and the questionable relevance of some interventions to current day practice, we are unable to draw strong conclusions or recommend the implementation of specific intervention types. Further research is thus justified. Trial registration number CRD42014006192.
