Effect of interpersonal conflicts and the moderating effect of the dispositional need to belong on binge eating
Appetite. 2023 Sep 4:107027. doi: 10.1016/j.appet.2023.107027. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe dispositional need to belong (dNTB) is a stable desire to connect with others and belong to groups. Recently, it has been stated that dNTB can alter immediate post-interpersonal conflict behavior. Interpersonal conflict stress is one of the triggers of binge eating. An individual's vulnerability to binge eating in response to interpersonal conflicts before it becomes a disorder has not been investigated from the perspective of the interaction between interpersonal conflict and dNTB. We conducted two studies examining the relati...

Clinical and Sociodemographic Factors Associated With Health-Related Quality of Life in Patients With Adult Congenital Heart Disease - A Nationwide Cross-Sectional Multicenter Study
CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates that HRQoL in ACHD patients is associated with various clinical and sociodemographic factors. Further studies are needed to clarify whether some of these factors could be targets for future intervention programs to improve HRQoL outcomes.PMID:37673658 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-23-0383

Are the issues involving acephate already resolved? A scientometric review
Environ Res. 2023 Sep 4:117034. doi: 10.1016/j.envres.2023.117034. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAcephate is a pesticide classified as moderately toxic, and its metabolite methamidophos is highly toxic for mammals and birds; even so, it is one of the most used insecticides in pest control for agricultural and domestic use. Acephate toxicity affects both target and non-target organisms and causes serious damage to the environment. There are several studies on different perspectives of acephate, such as monitoring, toxicity, and modeling. In this sense, this research aims to identify the structure of intellectual production ...

Mixed-mode chromatographic performance using nicotinic acid-functionalized chito-oligosaccharide-bonded Ti/Si hybrid monolithic capillary columns
This article describes the fabrication of porous nicotinic acid-functionalized chito-oligosaccharide-bonded titania/silica hybrid monoliths (TiO2/SiO2@ChO-N) through a co-gelation sol-gel process. A capillary monolith with a well-defined and homogeneous structure was obtained by controlling the hydrolysis speed of titanium alkoxides in a sol mixture by using glycerol and acetylacetone. As a result of the functionalization with chito-oligosaccharides (ChO)-modified nicotinic acid, the obtained stationary phase provides superior physiochemical properties, such as a cationic hydrophilic surface, porosity, and mechanical stren...

Real-world data on induction therapy in patients with transplant-ineligible newly diagnosed multiple myeloma: retrospective analysis of 598 cases from Kansai Myeloma Forum
Int J Hematol. 2023 Sep 5. doi: 10.1007/s12185-023-03653-4. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTTo investigate the real-world clinical outcomes and management of novel drug-containing therapies for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) patients, we retrospectively analyzed data on the first-line treatment for newly diagnosed transplant-ineligible MM patients from Kansai Myeloma Forum, a registry network in Japan. A total of 598 patients treated with novel drugs between March 2007 and February 2018 were analyzed. Regimens used were VD (n = 305), Rd (n = 103), VMP (n = 97), VCD (n = 71), and VRd (n = 22). Younger patients tended t...

Safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy of belantamab mafodotin monotherapy in Japanese patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma: DREAMM-11
Int J Hematol. 2023 Sep 5. doi: 10.1007/s12185-023-03652-5. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTBelantamab mafodotin, a B-cell maturation antigen-targeting antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), was investigated in Japanese patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma in Part 1 of the phase I DREAMM-11 study. Patients who had received ≥ 2 prior lines of therapy including a proteasome inhibitor and immunomodulatory agent were eligible. Eight patients received belantamab mafodotin monotherapy at 2.5 mg/kg (n = 4) or 3.4 mg/kg (n = 4) by intravenous infusion every 3 weeks on day 1 of each cycle until disease progression or unaccept...
