Evaluation of prediabetes patients in terms of metabolic syndrome
CONCLUSIONS: Hypertension, dyslipidemia, abdominal obesity, and metabolic obesity increased in the coexistence of prediabetes and MetS. At the same time, the coexistence of prediabetes and MetS was associated with higher systolic blood pressure, postprandial blood sugar, and LDL levels. Prediabetic individuals accompanied by MetS are at greater metabolic risk.PMID:38639515 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202404_35904 (Source: European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences)

Robotic Biliary Stricturoplasty and Roux-en-Y Hepaticojejunostomy After Hepatic Artery Infusion Pump Injury
CONCLUSIONS: Robotic biliary stricturoplasty with RY hepaticojejunostomy for treatment of biliary sclerosis after HAIP chemotherapy is safe and feasible. Appropriate experience in minimally invasive hepatobiliary surgery is necessary to achieve this goal.PMID:38632219 | DOI:10.1245/s10434-024-15258-0 (Source: Ann Oncol)

GSE261688 Expression data from adipose tissue macrophages of mice with or without moderate aerobic exercise
Contributors : Fei Qin ; Wenbai HuangSeries Type : Non-coding RNA profiling by arrayOrganism : Mus musculus ; synthetic constructATMs, which can constitute up to 50% of the cells in adipose tissue of obese mice 5, play a pivotal role in both metabolic and immune regulation of adipose tissue. This is particularly evident in both healthy states and in conditions associated with metabolic syndrome. To delve into the precise mechanisms of the ATMs in response to exercise, we utilized exercise-induced primary ATMs and miRNAs microarray to investigate the effects of an 8-week aerobic exercise training on ATMs. Following the exe...
