Beneficial effects of stroke-unit care in stroke patients with atrial fibrillation.
Conclusion: SU care improved the detection of AF and the rate of anticoagulation consideration in acute stroke patients. Our findings support the benefits of continuous cardiac monitoring in the SU for stroke patients.

Prevalence of renal dysfunction in ischaemic stroke and transient ischaemic attack patients with or without atrial fibrillation
ConclusionsRenal dysfunction is far more common in stroke patients than in the general population and more common in AF‐related stroke. These findings may have implications for the choice of anticoagulants.

Stress-induced cardiomyopathy accompanied by heat stroke
We describe a case with high body temperature and coma, who also presented with wide QRS tachycardia and shock. He was initially treated for heat stroke and wide QRS tachycardia. Serial electrocardiographic change and echocardiographic findings suggested this was complicated with stress-induced cardiomyopathy. Atrial fibrillation detected by continuous electrocardiographic monitoring using implantable loop recorder to prevent stroke in individuals at risk (the LOOP study): Rationale and design of a large randomized controlled trial
Conclusion The LOOP study will evaluate health benefits and cost-effectiveness of ILR as a screening tool for AF to prevent stroke in patients at risk. Secondary objectives include identification of risk factors for the development of AF and characterization of arrhythmias in the population. The trial holds the potential to influence the future of stroke prevention.

Left ventricular hypertrophy diagnosed after a stroke: a case report
ConclusionsElectrocardiogram diagnosis of left ventricular hypertrophy led to the diagnosis of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in this patient. Left ventricular hypertrophy was only evident a few days after our patient suffered a stroke. The underlying mechanisms responsible for this remain unclear. Furthermore, differential diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy should be considered in people with electrocardiogram criteria for left ventricular hypertrophy. Minor Electrocardiographic ST-T Change and Risk of Stroke in the General Japanese Population.
CONCLUSIONS: Minor ST-T changes were particularly associated with a higher risk of stroke in subjects with hyperlipidemia and this association was independent of electrocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy.

Aerobic Training in Canadian Stroke Rehabilitation Programs.
CONCLUSIONS: Most stroke rehabilitation programs across Canada include AT. People with severe physical impairment and those with cardiac, metabolic, and hemodynamic comorbidities may be excluded or not appropriately monitored during exercise. Relation between index of cardioelectrophysiological balance and stroke severity in patients with acute ischemic stroke
Conclusion: Our results suggested that iCEB is associated with stroke severity on admission in patients with acute ischemic stroke. It is known that high iCEB is associated with torsade de pointes (TdP), ventricular tachycardia.
