IgE Mediated Wheat Allergy Associated with Resistant and Severe Forms of Allergic Conjunctivitis
CONCLUSION: This study provides novel evidence that wheat allergy is responsible for some severe forms of AC.PMID:37273955 | PMC:PMC10156020 | DOI:10.2174/18743064-v16-e2208170

Tolerance to wheat in whole-grain cereal biscuit in wheat-allergic children
We report 2 children with confirmed wheat allergy who passed an OFC to WWCBs but continued to exhibit IgE-mediated symptoms to other wheat-containing products.

National allergy programme had little impact on parent ‐reported food allergies in children aged 6‐7 years
ConclusionWe studied the national allergy programme that started in 2008 and found that there was a non‐significant overall decrease in the number of children aged 6‐7 on avoidance diets for allergies between 2009‐2016. The only allergies that showed signficiant decreases were fresh fruit and vegetables. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

A Mouse Model of Anaphylaxis and Atopic Dermatitis to Salt-Soluble Wheat Protein Extract
Conclusion: Here we report a mouse model of anaphylaxis and atopic dermatitis to SSWP extract that may be used for further basic and applied research on wheat allergy.Int Arch Allergy Immunol 2017;174:7-16

Characterization of Vibrio cholerae neuraminidase as an immunomodulator for novel formulation of oral allergy immunotherapy.
In conclusion, NA has enhanced M-cell specificity compared to the other targeters. NA functionalized MPs induce a Th1 and T-regulatory driven immune response and avoid allergy effector cell activation. Therefore, it is a promising novel, orally applied formula for allergy therapy. In extremis diagnosis of celiac disease and concomitant wheat allergy.
We describe a peculiar case of a young female patient affected by wheat allergy whose serological and histological data were not diagnostic for CD. Organ culture system successfully detected specific antibodies for CD in duodenal biopsy supernatant, supporting the diagnosis of CD. PMID: 30249570 [PubMed - in process]

Induction of Tolerance Through Early Weaning and Oral Immunotherapy
AbstractPurpose of reviewThe increase in IgE-mediated food allergy in the world with prevalence of egg, milk, peanut, and wheat allergies presenting and coexisting as multiple food allergies in young children.Recent findingsEarlier initiation in weaning and timing of exposure of specific food allergens to an atopic infant appears to affect the trajectory and progression of acquiring tolerance in these children for specific foods. In this review, the allergen-specific strategies for increasing tolerance (desensitization) and hastening the resolution of food allergy (SU) are reviewed for treatment of food allergy.SummaryPhen...

Series of 12 cases of wheat-dependent exercise-induced allergy in Aragon, Spain
ConclusionsWDEIA is a relatively rare but potentially severe food allergy. Understanding this allergy is therefore important for a correct diagnosis.

Influence of Atopic Dermatitis on Cow's Milk Allergy in Children.
Conclusions: An early barrier deficiency appears to promote the development of allergic sensitization, but does not seem to influence the acquisition of tolerance. PMID: 31405131 [PubMed - in process]
