Corticospinal Tract Integrity and Long-Term Hand Function Prognosis in Patients With Stroke
Conclusions: The present study showed that CST integrity (at 6 months after onset) in patients with chronic stroke was related to functional hand status. In addition, the mid-pons FA value was more predictive of functional restoration of the hand than the FN or FA value at the pontomedullary junction. Stroke patients present atypical GI-APA patterns, longer GI-APA duration and lower GI-APA amplitude compared to healthy people, regardless of which leg is used as the leading or trailing leg. Incidence and in-hospital Safety Outcomes of Patients undergoing Percutaneous Mitral Valve Edge-to-Edge Repair Using MitraClip ® - 5 year German national patient sample including 13,575 implants.
CONCLUSIONS: MitraClip® implantations increased markedly 5.4-fold between 2011 and 2015, with a constant in-hospital mortality and MACCE rate. Effects of Normothermic Machine Perfusion Conditions on Mesenchymal Stromal Cells
In this study the effect of NMP perfusion fluid on survival, metabolism and function of thawed cryopreserved human (h)MSC and porcine (p)MSC in suspension conditions was studied. Suspension conditions reduced the viability of pMSC by 40% in both perfusion fluid and culture medium. Viability of hMSC was reduced by suspension conditions by 15% in perfusion fluid, whilst no differences were found in survival in culture medium. Impact of left atrial diameter on outcome in patients undergoing edge ‐to‐edge mitral valve repair: results from the German TRAnscatheter Mitral valve Interventions (TRAMI) registry
ConclusionLeft atrial enlargement is a strong and independent predictor of adverse long ‐term outcome after transcatheter mitral valve repair. Further study is warranted to examine whether timely intervention may have the potential to modify outcome.
