Post-stroke aphasia at the time of COVID-19 pandemic: a telerehabilitation perspective
We report on our remote speech therapy experience in post-stroke aphasia. The aim was to test the feasibility and utility of telerehabilitation to support future randomized controlled trials. Post-stroke aphasia is a common and disabling speech disorder, which significantly affects patients' and caregivers' health and quality of life. Efficacy and safety of recanalization therapy for acute ischemic stroke with COVID-19: A systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionsCompared with COVID-19 negative AIS patients who received recanalization treatments, COVID-19 positive patients turned out to have poorer outcomes. Particular attention needs to be paid to the treatments for these COVID-19 patients to decrease mortality and morbidity. Antiphospholipid antibodies in patients with stroke during COVID-19: A role in the signaling pathway leading to platelet activation
ConclusionsThis study demonstrates the presence of aPLs in a subgroup of COVID-19 patients who presented AIS, suggesting a role in the mechanisms contributing to hypercoagulable state in these patients. Detecting these antibodies as a serological marker to check and monitor COVID-19 may contribute to improve the risk stratification of thromboembolic manifestations in these patients.

Reversible Cerebral Vasoconstriction Syndrome and Dissection in the Setting of COVID-19 Infection
The current COVID-19 pandemic has recently brought to attention the myriad of neuro- logic sequelae associated with Coronavirus infection including the predilection for stroke, particularly in young patients. Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) is a well-described clinical syndrome leading to vasoconstriction in the intracra- nial vessels, and has been associated with convexity subarachnoid hemorrhage and oc- casionally cervical artery dissection. It is usually reported in the context of a trigger such as medications, recreational drugs, or the postpartum state; however, it has not been described in COVID-19 infection.

Risk of Hemorrhagic Stroke in Patients With Coronavirus Disease 2019 —Reply
In Reply We thank Dr Silverman and colleagues for their interest in our study and providing us the opportunity to expand on our results. Among the 1916 patients who visited the emergency department or were hospitalized with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in our study, 8 patients (0.4% [95% CI, 0.2%-0.8%]) had hemorrhagic stroke, including 7 with intracerebral hemorrhage and 1 with subarachnoid hemorrhage. Among these 8 patients, 4 strokes were attributed to anticoagulant use.

COVID-19 in combination with hemorrhagic stroke doubles death risk
(University of Utah Health) COVID-19 and hemorrhagic stroke are a deadly combination, increasing the risk of death up to 2.4 times among patients who have this pairing compared to those who only had hemorrhagic strokes, according to a nationwide study led by University of Utah Health scientists. Patients who survived had longer hospital stays, more medical complications, and less favorable outcomes than those who did not have both conditions.

High incidence of stroke and mortality in pediatric critical care patients with COVID-19 in Peru
CONCLUSION: Cerebrovascular events associated with COVID-19 in pediatric patients, including infants, must be recognized as one of the more severe presentations of this infection in pediatric patients.IMPACT: Pediatric patients with COVID-19 can present with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes on presentation. Neurological presentation in pediatric patients with COVID-19 has high mortality. Mortality of pediatric patients with COVID-19 is associated with comorbidities.
