Expression pattern of miR-451 and its target MIF (macrophage migration inhibitory factor) in colorectal cancer
Conclusions The results showed that miR-451 could play a role in development and progression of colorectal cancer and likely by targeting MIF.

The role of lymph node size and FOXP3+ regulatory T cells in node-negative colon cancer
Recently, we demonstrated that the intratumoural density of CD3+ and CD8+ T cells is independently prognostic and associated with lymph node (LN) harvest and LN size in node-negative colon cancer. We assumed that FOXP3+ T cells (Tregs) could be inversely associated with these LN features. Elevations in IL-6 Correlate with Cytokine-Related Reactions as a Biomarker for Oxaliplatin Hypersensitivity
Cytokine-Release Reactions (CRRs) are attributed to proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF- α and have been associated to Oxaliplatin hypersensitivity (1-4), with increased serum IL-6 concentrations in the context of fever and rigors (5-6). However, the utility of measuring cytokines such as IL-6 as markers of oxaliplatin hypersensitivity is unknown. We hypothesize that elevations in IL-6 characterize patients experiencing CRRs but not those having Type I hypersensitivity reactions while receiving oxaliplatin for colorectal cancer.
