Is the The Berkeley Review updated?
I currently have the 2012,2010,2012 versions of the berkley review books in PDF for organic chem, gen chem, and physics - respectively. The reason is because i prefer PDF than actual books. I was wondering if these versions are okay to use for the current MCAT? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

MD or PhD?
Hello, I am an undergraduate student majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology and minoring in Public Health and Chemistry. I just finished my second year. I was pre-med when I first entered college, but am now thinking about going to grad school for a PhD for a few reasons: I have a deep interest in cell biology, biochemistry, and organic chemistry and would love to explore these subjects through grad school. I don’t think I would like memorizing the massive volume of information... MD or PhD? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How to prepare for orgo 2?
I just want to do well in the course. Would studying organic chemistry as a second language second semester topic help or should I review orgo 1 material or study ochem mcat books? Are there any other resources to pre-study for orgo 2? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

gen chem
On the last quarter of gen chem, I earned a 1.7 and I can take a hardship withdraw (due to health reasons) from it but a 1.7 (C-) is considered a passing at our university. It brought my gpa down. I'm unsure of whether I should retake the course or continue to organic chem. I really want to go to dental school. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Taking Organic Chemistry I and II this summer and considering doing volunteering as well
I am a rising sophomore who is going to be taking orgo this summer (as is common with premeds at my school). My class involves lecture every weekday and a test on Tuesdays each week. It will be held online due to COVID-19 and the lab component of it will be held at school during the fall (if school reopens by then). I'm thinking about doing volunteering at my local Food Bank or at Meals on Wheels but would like to know if doing such volunteering is advisable or if I should be fully... I passed no passed my classes for the 2020 spring semester, was that a bad decision?
Hello! I'm a sophomore (entering my fifth semester now) pre-medical student and I just finished my fourth semester at my undergraduate institution. My school decided to go default pass no pass grading for Spring 2020 due to covid-19, with graded choices being an option, and I decided to go pass no pass. I've been really concerned that I made a bad decision, as I was taking Organic Chemistry I, with Lab, and opted to go Pass no Pass as I found the transition online with the class very... DAT prepping: AP chemistry as my only background general chemistry knowledge
Hello, I am currently a third year who is planning on studying for the DAT at some point near winter 2021 or summer 2021. I have taken Organic chem 1 and 2. Before applying to my university, I had taken the AP chemistry test in high school, and did alright enough to not have to take the Gen Chem 1 course. At my university, Gen chem 1 and 2 material are in the same semester of the Gen chem 1 course. The Gen Chem 2 course is considered Analytical chemistry. I think it has some Gen chem 2... Current PharmD student wanting to pursue PhD
A little about myself: I'm a P2 with IHS (this summer's IPPE), compounding pharmacy and retail experience. I have great leadership experience with NCPA and APhA and am highly involved in student organizations. I also have research experience in immunotoxicology (pathways in asthma biochemistry) and some chem labs (organic synthesis) although I have not been published, plus this summer I'm working with a PharmD to publish a few meta-analyses/lit reviews in psych pharmacy. I think I would... Current PharmD student wanting to pursue PhD (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Online Organic 2: anyone have experience?
Hello everyone, this is my first post. I am a non-traditional pre-med student (post-bacc). I have been in banking/finance for over 17 years and will be taking the MCAT in May 2021 and applying to Med Schools (some MD, some DO) June 2021. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts I cannot take both Organic 2 and Biochem I this fall semester (unless it goes online). I have already reached out to the Medical Schools I am most interested in to request if they will accept online Organic... Online Organic 2: anyone have experience? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Will a W look bad on my dental school application?
Hey guys, so I've been struggling in my Organic Chemistry class this semester and I was really depending on doing well on my last 2 exams. However, the COVID situation happened and all of my classes shifted online. And to prevent cheating, my orgo professor only allowed us 50 mins for a 40 question Organic chemistry exam using a lockdown browser. I didn't have enough time to complete the exam and didn't do so well. I have my final exam in 2 weeks and the last day to drop the class is next... Will a W look bad on my dental school application?
