Comparative evaluation of 90-day patient outcomes and healthcare encounters following extended day surgery urethroplasty
CONCLUSIONS: Our study shows that XDS urethroplasty is not associated with increased rates of complications relative to inpatient admission. This data supports using an XDS pathway for resource-efficient treatment of urethral strictures in a universal healthcare setting.PMID:36952302 | DOI:10.5489/cuaj.8219 (Source: Canadian Urological Association Journal)

Analysis of prognostic factors of failure in perineal urethrostomy
ConclusionsPU with Blandy technique is a surgery with low morbidity. During the entire study period, it had a failure rate of 48.7% but the failure rate decreased to 25% over the last 8  years. Age, BMI, date of surgery and suprapubic catheter are the most important prognostic factor of failure. (Source: World Journal of Urology)
