Systemic-Sclerosis-Related Interstitial Lung Disease: A Review of the Literature and Recommended Approach for Clinical Pharmacists
CONCLUSION: Numerous pharmacologic agents have been studied and repurposed in the treatment of SSc-ILD, with nintedanib and TCZ gaining approval to slow the rate of decline in pulmonary function in SSc-ILD. Other agents, including belimumab and pirfenidone, are on the horizon as potential treatment options; but further studies are needed to compare their efficacy and safety with the current standard of care.PMID:38095621 | DOI:10.1177/10600280231213672 (Source: The Annals of Pharmacotherapy)

Electroencephalographic Changes in Pregnant Women with Hyperemesis Gravidarum: A Case-Control Study
CONCLUSION: Theta, beta, and gamma band abnormalities in the centro-parietal area of the right hemisphere and delta, beta, and gamma band abnormalities in the temporal area of the right hemisphere were observed on HEG. However, it is unclear whether abnormalities in EEG are primary changes responsible for the development of HEG or secondary to metabolic and hormonal changes resulting from HEG itself.PMID:38081216 | DOI:10.1055/a-2211-6922 (Source: Zeitschrift fur Geburtshilfe und Neonatologie)

Signal transduction pathways alter the molecular cargo of extracellular vesicles: implications in regenerative medicine
Regen Med. 2023 Dec 7. doi: 10.2217/rme-2023-0183. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTExtracellular vesicles (EVs) possess regenerative properties and are also considered as future vaccines. All types of cells secrete EVs; however, the amount of EVs secreted by the cells varies under various physiological as well as pathological states. Several articles have reviewed the molecular composition and potential therapeutic applications of EVs. Likewise, the 'sorting signals' associated with specific macromolecules have also been identified, but how the signal transduction pathways prevailing in the parent cells alter the molecular p...
