Does the Side Matter? A Retrospective Cohort Study Comparing Left and Right Pure Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomies
Conclusions: Pure LLDN and RLDN can have different outcomes at high-volume centers, especially higher complications for recipients of right grafts. However, long-term function and graft survival are the same irrespective of the chosen side.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Complication Rate after Radical Cystectomy Depends on the Surgical Technique and Patient ’s Clinical Status
Conclusions: The risk of complications after RC is not related to the type of urinary diversion, and can be reduced by using a minimally invasive surgical technique, especially in patients with high BMI.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Is Tumor Budding a New Predictor for Early Cystectomy in pT1 High-Grade Bladder Cancer?
Conclusions: TB is a new and significant pathological variable for predicting progression in HGT1 tumors and can be easily introduced in clinical practice. Its inclusion in the TNM system should be carefully considered, as it may aid early cystectomy decisions.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Incidental Bladder Cancer Found on Cystoscopy during Prostate Biopsy: Prevalence, Pathological Findings, and Oncological Outcome
Conclusion: Cystoscopy during PB may yield incidental bladder cancer findings, although the prevalence is very low. Incidental bladder cancer was of low stage and grade, which seemed unrelated to survival. Moreover, performing routine cystoscopy in conjunction with PB is not recommended as it may lead to overdiagnosis of low-risk bladder cancer.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Retroperitoneal Renal Artery Aneurysm Repair: A Rare Case Report and Literature Review
Conclusions: Robot-assisted laparoscopic retroperitoneal RAA repair is flexible and safe. The greatest advantage of retroperitoneal surgery is direct access to the renal artery. Furthermore, it could reduce the injury in the abdominal organs and avoid abdominal adhesion. This approach may also allow for improved postoperative recovery, reduce the morbidity correlated with transperitoneal RAA, and thus may be considered as an alternative to transperitoneal surgery for RAAs in the future.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Can Urinary KIM-1 and NGAL Predict Management Endoscopic Surgery in Acute Unilateral Obstructive Stone Disease? Results from a Prospective Cohort Study
Conclusion: KIM-1 and NGAL can be used in our assessment of renal function in patients with AUOSD, even if sCr is normal. Also, these biomarkers can predict the presence of hydronephrosis. It can be helpful in determining the time of surgical treatment, as well as providing information in the follow-up of patients with JJ stents after treatment.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

EAU, AUA and NICE Guidelines on Surgical and Minimally Invasive Treatment of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia: A Critical Appraisal of the Guidelines Using the AGREE-II Tool
Conclusions: The analyzed CPGs comprehensively highlight the minimally invasive and surgical treatment options for BPH. According to the AGREE II tool, the domains for clarity of presentation and editorial independence received the highest scores. The stakeholder involvement and applicability domains were ranked as the lowest. Improving the CPG in these domains may help to improve the clinical utility and applicability of CPGs.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Conclusion: OP was associated with higher transfusion rates and longer hospital stay than TUR-P and LT. Risk of transfusion was not different between TUR-P and LT, but TUR-P was inferior to LT concerning length of hospital stay. Re-intervention rates during hospitalization did not differ between the groups.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Efficacy of the Treatment of Intraperitoneal Bladder Perforation during Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor with the Urethral Catheter Alone: Retrospective Analysis of over 15 Years Using the Clinical Data Warehouse System
Conclusions: Intraperitoneal perforation rarely occurred during TURBT. In the case of intraperitoneal perforation of size smaller than cystoscopy or without pelvic radiotherapy history, treatment with the Foley alone showed successful improvement and safe oncological results. Therefore, treatment with the urethral catheter alone can be carefully considered when an intraperitoneal perforation smaller than the cystoscope size or without pelvic radiotherapy history occurs.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)
