A Community-Based Education Program for Overactive Bladder in a Predominantly Minority Older Female Population: A Pilot Study
Conclusions: Statistically significant improvements in symptom bother, condition-specific, and general QoL measures were observed following an OAB education program pilot study in a predominantly minority female population. Further studies are needed to support efficacy and optimize program design.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Association between Operative Time and Short-Term Radical Cystectomy Complications
Conclusion: Operative time of RC is associated with postoperative complications. Though many factors impact the duration of surgery, surgeries that lasted between 4 and 5 h had trend toward the lowest complication rates. Attention to factors impacting operative time may allow surgeons to identify strategies for optimizing surgical care and reducing complications after RC.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Management for Ureterovaginal Fistula: A Retrospective Study Comparing Early and Delayed Ureteral Reimplantation
Conclusion: With similar long-term outcomes, the early ureteral reimplantation had a shorter operative time and less blood loss. Moreover, the stress during the waiting period could be minimized. High-quality clinical studies with larger sample size are needed to confirm the superior nature of early surgery.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Age and ECOG Performance Status as Predictors of Survival of Patients with Upper Urinary Tract Urothelial Carcinoma Undergoing Radical Nephroureterectomy
Conclusion: We evaluated the impact of chronological and biological age on perioperative complications and survival after RNU. A combined risk score of chronological and biological age correlates with survival after RNU.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Clinical Evaluation of Single-Use, Fiber-Optic, and Digital Ureterorenoscopes in the Treatment of Kidney Stones
Conclusions: Single-use URS achieve comparable clinical outcomes with equal stone-free rates in direct comparison with fiber-optic and digital reusable instruments. Accordingly, single-use devices present an adequate alternative for endoscopic therapy of urolithiasis.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Is There a Role for Antifungal Prophylaxis in Patients Undergoing Penile Prosthesis Surgery? A Systematic Review
Conclusions: Fungal infections represent a significant proportion of implant infections and therefore antifungal prophylaxis is warranted. Future studies comparing the efficacy of traditional antibiotic prophylaxis as set out by AUA/EAU with novel prophylaxis regimes including the addition of an antifungal may provide more definitive guidance on this issue. Until then antifungal prophylaxis in all patients undergoing PP procedures may provide a significant cost-effect benefit.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)

Allium Ureteral Stent as a Treatment for Ureteral Stricture: Results and Concerns
Conclusions: Although an Allium URS could be considered as a feasible and attractive treatment of ureteral strictures, due to its minimal invasiveness, the success rate of this treatment is relatively low. Therefore, this option should be carefully considered and should be discouraged in young and fit patients and reserved for older unfit patients who are unwilling to undergo surgical repair of ureteral strictures.Urol Int (Source: Urologia Internationalis)
