Asymptomatic multifocal paracentral acute middle maculopathy associated with juvenile dermatomyositis: optical coherence angiography findings
Conclusion: To the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of the optical coherence tomography angiography findings in paracentral acute middle maculopathy associated with juvenile dermatomyositis. The defects were located in the superficial and deep capillary plexi and likely due to the known occlusive retinopathy associated with juvenile dermatomyositis. Involution of neovascular age-related macular degeneration after endophthalmitis
Conclusion: After successful treatment of endophthalmitis in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration, there was relative involution of the maculopathy and reduced anti–vascular endothelial growth factor treatment burden in this series. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Serous macular detachment associated with waldenstrom macroglobulinemia managed with ibrutinib: a case report and new insights into pathogenesis
Conclusion: Serous macular detachments in Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia–associated retinopathy may be due to the disruption of the retinal pigment epithelium pump mechanism by hyperglobulinemia. The favorable course of this patient, treated with the novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor ibrutinib, suggests this may be the preferred treatment for Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia patients with associated retinopathy. Neuropathy, ataxia, and retinitis pigmentosa syndrome: a multidisciplinary diagnosis
Conclusion: This is the first report of macular atrophy demonstrated by optical coherence tomography in a patient with neuropathy, ataxia, and retinitis pigmentosa syndrome. For the diagnosis, a multidisciplinary team including a neurologist, a geneticist, and an ophthalmologist was essential. Patients with suspected mitochondrial disease could greatly benefit from an ophthalmology examination like that conducted in this case because it was the key factor that led to the suspicion of syndromic disease, and ultimately the diagnosis. Bull's eye maculopathy possibly due to iron overload in a child with thalassemia major: a case of possible “ferritin retinopathy”
Conclusion: Careful history-taking is important in children with bull's eye maculopathy because all such retinopathies need not be hereditary fundus dystrophies. Further progression can be arrested by identifying and removing the cause vision loss. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Neurotrophic keratopathy after retinal detachment surgery combined with endolaser photocoagulation
Conclusion: Neurotrophic keratopathy may occur after pars plana vitrectomy. The possible mechanism is long ciliary nerve damage related to the extensive endolaser photocoagulation. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Progression of scotopic single-flash electroretinography in the stages of capn5 vitreoretinopathy
Conclusion: Electroretinography may be valuable in determining optimal timing for therapeutic intervention and response before loss of recordable retinal function in CAPN5 vitreoretinopathy. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Multimodal imaging of photic maculopathy from arc welding
Conclusion: We report serial multimodal imaging in welder's maculopathy to better characterize the evolution of lesions. Multimodal imaging including spectral domain optical coherence tomography in arc welding phototoxicity may share features with other forms of phototoxicity such as hand-held laser maculopathy. Optic disk astrocytoma unassociated with tuberous sclerosis complex managed with surgical excision and a 7-year follow-up
Conclusion: Optic disk astrocytoma can be managed with local surgical excision and vision can be preserved if treated timely. Histopathologic features can help evaluate the degree of nuclear pleomorphism and cell morphology. Special immunohistochemical studies of the tumor's coexpressed neuronal markers will help differentiate astrocytoma from other neoplasms. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Anatomical changes between argus ii retinal prosthesis and inner retinal layers detected by spectral domain optical coherence tomography in first year: a case report
Conclusion: Argus II epiretinal prosthesis implant may be complicated by the formation of a hyperreflective epiretinal band, detectable by spectral domain optical coherence tomography. The band may alter prosthesis function; to date, the patient did not scored any decrease in visual function. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Spontaneous resolution of optic disk pit maculopathy in a child after a six-year follow-up
Conclusion: The combination of morphologic and functional evaluation over time can be useful to determine the best management of ODP-M, particularly in children for whom the conservative approach seems to be a valid alternative to surgery. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Lipemia retinalis during chemotherapy with adjunctive glucocorticoid treatment in a patient with colon carcinoma
Conclusion: Lipemia retinalis associated with visual impairment may occur during chemotherapy under accompanying treatment with dexamethasone. Even if patients with hyperlipidemia are metabolically well-controlled with oral medication, treatment with dexamethasone can potentially lead to decompensation of hyperlipidemia causing secondary lipemia retinalis.
