Retinal telangiectasia associated with optic disk pit maculopathy
Conclusion: Retinal telangiectasia seen in optic disk maculopathy may be secondary to ischemia induced by the intense stretching of the superficial vascular plexus in the inner retina because of macular edema. In our patient, when traction was relieved following surgical intervention, there was remodeling of the superficial vascular plexus that allowed for resolution of the retinal telangiectasia. Segmental diffuse vascular leakage: a fluorescein angiographic finding in patients with von hippel–lindau disease
Conclusion: Diffuse vascular leakage from retinal venules around and away from RCHs in patients with von Hippel–Lindau disease is seen, but the clinical and prognostic importance of this finding is uncertain. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

A novel surgical technique for rescuing a dislocated accommodative intraocular lens (crystalens)
Conclusion: Rescuing, instead of exchanging, a Crystalens intraocular lens might be a safe alternative in patients with a dislocated “in-the-bag” Crystalens intraocular lens. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Multilayered optic disk hemorrhage in adults without a posterior vitreous detachment
Conclusion: Previous reports of multilevel optic disk hemorrhages in adults variably suggested the necessity of a posterior vitreous detachment. This report illustrates that a posterior vitreous detachment confirmed on spectral domain optical coherence tomography is not a necessary prerequisite for this entity. Novel approach to scleral fixation of a reper intraocular lens and artificial iris complex following pars plana lensectomy and vitrectomy for ectopia lentis and cataract in a patient with aniridia and nystagmus
Conclusion: This case demonstrates a promising proof-of-concept for long-term management of complicated aniridia cases using an intraocular lens and artificial iris complex prosthetic iris devices. Gore-Tex sutures may be preferable to conventional polypropylene sutures because of their improved durability. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Relaxing nasal retinotomy technique for closure of a macular hole that reopened after primary vitrectomy
Conclusion: In patients with small macular holes that fail primary vitrectomy, nasal relaxing retinotomy can contribute to successful hole closure. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Optical coherence tomography angiography findings in a case of congenital retinal macrovessel with anomalous retinal anastomosis associated with contralateral myelinated nerve fibers and retinal vascular abnormalities
Conclusion: Congenital retinal macrovessels can be associated with other ocular developmental anomalies. Vascular complications can occur, leading to macular edema and retinal ischemia. Optical coherence tomography angiography can be useful for the diagnosis and follow-up of this condition. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Late-onset lysosomal storage disorder with macular cherry-red spot
Conclusion: Most lysosomal storage disorders are known as pediatric diseases. However, we must consider the possibility of late-onset lysosomal disorder in case of progressive visual loss and macular cherry-red spot in adult patients. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Optical coherence tomography angiography findings in a case of choroidal neovascularization secondary to unilateral retinal pigment epithelium dysgenesis treated with intravitreal bevacizumab therapy
Conclusion: Optical coherence tomography angiography is a useful imaging technique for the diagnosis and follow-up of CNVs secondary to unilateral retinal pigment epithelium dysgenesis. Anti–vascular endothelial growth factor agents represent an effective therapy for the treatment of CNV in patients with this disease. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Acute idiopathic maculopathy complicated by choroidal neovascularization: new insights into multimodal retinal imaging
Conclusion: Our case reports the uncommon association of acute idiopathic maculopathy complicated by CNV. Multiimaging approach allowed to document the features observed in this disease. Optical coherence tomography angiography was particularly useful in showing the extension of the neovascular network and response to treatment. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Alteration of optical coherence tomography angiography in a patient with ocular ischemic syndrome
Conclusion: Optical coherence tomography angiography confirmed foveal avascular zone area reduction and increased vessel density in all retinal layers after carotid artery stenting for OIS. These findings suggest that optical coherence tomography angiography may be useful for evaluating blood flow and treatment efficacy in OIS. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Optical coherence tomography angiography study of choroidal neovascularization associated with early-onset drusen
Conclusion: All our cases with early-onset drusen showed Type 1 CNV that was detected by indocyanine green angiography or OCTA. Optical coherence tomography angiography has a potential to help noninvasively diagnose CNV in the cases of EOD. (Source: Retinal Cases and Brief Reports)

Acute myocarditis with cardiogenic shock and multiple organ failure, followed by bilateral panuveitis masquerading as endogenous endophthalmitis, due to toxoplasma gondii in an immunocompetent patient
Conclusion: Even in an immunocompetent patient, Toxoplasma can result in myocarditis with significant morbidities and even death, and its ocular manifestation may be quite different from the classic focal retinochoroiditis. In addition, polymerase chain reaction analysis of ocular fluids can be unreliable in an immunocompetent host, and thus treatment decision should be guided by clinical history and examination findings.
