Using combination of albumin to fibrinogen ratio and prognostic nutritional index model for predicting disease activity in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus
Conclusion: These findings suggest that predictive model based on combination of AFR and PNI may be useful markers to identify active SLE in clinical practice.PMID:38457835 | DOI:10.1177/09612033241238505 (Source: Lupus)

Childhood adverse experiences and clinical manifestations in women with systemic lupus erythematosus
CONCLUSION: Individuals with a positive history of ACE have significant associations with certain clinical manifestations of SLE and subtypes of ACE, underscoring the importance of preventing childhood trauma to improve adult health. Further studies are needed to elucidate the impact of ACE on adult health.PMID:38457921 | DOI:10.1177/09612033241238056 (Source: Lupus)

Comparison of late-onset and non-late-onset systemic lupus erythematosus individuals in a real-world electronic health record cohort
Conclusion: LO-SLE individuals may be less likely to fit an expected course for SLE with less frequent positive autoantibodies at diagnosis and lower rates of nephritis, even after adjusting for race. Understanding how age impacts SLE disease presentation could help reduce diagnostic delays in SLE.PMID:38454796 | DOI:10.1177/09612033241238052 (Source: Lupus)

Skin erythematous migrant lesions consistent with histologically confirmed dermal arteriolar thrombosis connected to APS
We present a case of a woman with APS with both arterial and venous thrombotic involvement associated with an atypical dermatological manifestation histologically consistent with a pauci-inflammatory intermediate-deep dermal arteriolar platelet-mediated thrombosis that appeared despite anticoagulation with warfarin and responding to the addition of antiplatelet therapy.PMID:38444066 | DOI:10.1177/09612033241238270 (Source: Lupus)

Comparison of the SLE Risk Probability Index (SLERPI) scale against the European League Against Rheumatism/American College of Rheumatology (ACR/EULAR) and Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) criteria
CONCLUSION: The SLERPI scale could be useful in the diagnosis of SLE, especially in early stages, given its good correlation with other classification scales and its good sensitivity.PMID:38445483 | DOI:10.1177/09612033241238053 (Source: Lupus)

Satisfaction and effectiveness of switching from intravenous to subcutaneous belimumab treatment in daily clinical practice
CONCLUSIONS: Overall satisfaction, satisfaction with via of administration, and satisfaction with the time taken to receive BEL were higher for SQ BEL treatment. A switching SQ strategy is a reasonable alternative for BEL patients.PMID:38446533 | DOI:10.1177/09612033241237560 (Source: Lupus)
