An international multicenter propensity ‐score matched and coarsened‐exact matched analysis comparing between robotic versus laparoscopic partial liver resections of the anterolateral segments
ConclusionThis multicentre international combined PSM and CEM study showed that both RLR and LLR have equivalent perioperative outcomes when performed in selected patients at high volume centres. The robotic approach was associated with significantly lower blood loss and allowed more surgeries to be completed in a minimally-invasive fashion. Association between achieving textbook outcomes and better survival after laparoscopic liver resection in the anterolateral segments in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma
ConclusionThe MELD score, thrombocytopenia, and hypoalbuminemia were independent risk factors influencing the achievement of TO. TO influences the short- and long-term outcomes after LLR for HCC. (Source: Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences)

Detection rate of endoscopic ultrasound and computed tomography in diagnosing pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms including small lesions: a multicenter study
ConclusionsEUS exhibited better detection ability than CT, with an excellent detection rate for PNENs>  5 mm, except for insulinomas. CT could detect PNENs>  10 mm, which are amenable to treatment. (Source: Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences)

Variations in risk ‐adjusted outcomes following 4318 laparoscopic liver resections
ConclusionsA benchmark for LLRs including all eligible patients was provided, suggesting that surgeons can act accordingly in the interest of the patient, modifying their approach in relation to different indications and different experience, but finally providing the same quality of cares.
