Validation of quantitative prognostic prediction using ADV score for resection of hepatocellular carcinoma: A Korea ‐Japan collaborative study with 9,200 patients
ConclusionsThis international validation study demonstrated that ADV score is an integrated surrogate biomarker for post-resection prognosis of HCC. Prognostic prediction using ADV score can provide reliable information that can assist in planning treatment of patients with different stages of HCC and guide individualized post-resection follow-up based on the relative risk of HCC recurrence. Pathological survey of precursor lesions in cholangiocarcinoma
ConclusionsCCAs were frequently associated with precursors; high-grade BilIN may be a major precursor and IPNB a minor one. CCAs with IPNB showed a favorable postoperative OS compared to CCAs with high-grade BilIN. (Source: Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences)

Impact of very early introduction of everolimus on liver regeneration after partial liver transplantation in rats
Conclusions:The very early introduction of EVR + reduced-TAC after partial LT delayed liver regeneration, and made it difficult to manage the dose required to suppress both infection and rejection. On the other hand, EVR + reduced-TAC could be introduced safely very early after whole LT. (Source: Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences)

The role and timing of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in acute biliary pancreatitis without cholangitis: A nationwide analysis
DiscussionBased on this large, nationwide analysis, inpatient ERCP for ABPwoC is associated with lower all-cause mortality. ERCP within 24 and 72  h, though not associated with lower mortality, are associated with multiple improved clinical outcomes, including lower healthcare charges and costs.
