Competence development of trainees performing short ‐type single‐balloon enteroscopy‐assisted endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in patients with surgically altered anatomy
ConclusionsShort SBE-assisted ERCP trainees has a substantial learning curve. If trainees do not have much experience with colonoscopy and ERCP procedures, it may be beneficial for them to start performing short SBE-assisted ERCP procedures on non-Roux-en-Y reconstruction cases. Outcomes of pancreatic cancer with liver oligometastasis
ConclusionsOligometastasis presented a relatively favorable outcome. Our new prognostic index was useful in stratifying the prognosis of these patients. A randomized, double ‐blinded, placebo‐controlled trial analyzing the effect of synbiotics on infectious complications following living donor liver transplant ‐ PREPRO trial.
Conclusion:Synbiotics administered for two weeks following LDLT significantly reduced overall and blood stream infectious complications in early post-operative period. Biliary stones or ulcers at the choledochojejunal anastomotic site involving the jejunal mucosa at stent removal may be recurrent factors in patients with benign choledochojejunal anastomotic stenosis undergoing endoscopic biliary stenting using fully ‐covered self‐expandable metal stents
ConclusionsAlthough FCSEMS placement was useful for stricture resolution, recurrence was detected in patients with biliary stones before first FCSEMS placement or anastomotic ulcers at FCSEMS removal.
