Four-Dimensional Volume-Strain Expression in Asymptomatic Primary Hypertension Patients Presenting with Subclinical Left Atrium-Ventricle Dysfunction
Conclusions: LVH patients showed increased LA volumes and decreased LA emptying fractions. LA reservoir, conduit and contractile functions were significantly impaired in LVH patients. Decreased LA conduit function and increased contractile function were revealed in NLVH patients. LA volumetric and functional analyses with 4D volume-strain echocardiography may facilitate the recognition of subtle LA and LV dysfunctions in asymptomatic systemic hypertension patients.Cardiology (Source: Cardiology)

Myocardial Infarction with Nonobstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA): A Review of the Current Position
Myocardial infarction with nonobstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) remains a puzzling clinical entity that is characterized by clinical evidence of myocardial infarction (MI) with normal or near-normal coronary arteries on angiography (stenosis #x3c;50%). Major advances in understanding this condition have been made in recent years. The precise pathogenesis is poorly understood and is being studied and examined further. Guidelines indicate that MINOCA is a group of heterogeneous diseases with different mechanisms of pathology. Since there are multiple possible pathological mechanisms, it is not certain that the classical...

Comparison of Intravascular Ultrasound Virtual Histology Parameters in Diabetes versus Non-Diabetes with Acute Coronary Syndrome
Conclusion: The DM patients had high-risk plaque composition features like a higher necrotic core, which is a marker of plaque vulnerability. Thus, aggressive medical therapy targeting vascular inflammation using high-dose statins would help in the stabilization of unstable plaque morphology and the reduction of major cardiovascular events.Cardiology (Source: Cardiology)

Effects of LCZ696 (Sacubitril/Valsartan) on Blood Pressure in Patients with Hypertension: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
Conclusions: The blood pressure-lowering effect of LCZ696 is dose-related. This meta-analysis confirms the antihypertensive effects of LCZ696.Cardiology (Source: Cardiology)
