< em > TTN < /em > Mutation in Endometrial Endometrioid Carcinoma Is Associated with Poor Clinical Outcomes and High Tumor Mutation Burden
In conclusion, TTN mutation may serve as a biomarker for EEC prognosis. TTN mutation is also associated with WES-TMB, and could be a simplified TMB measurement technique.PMID:38666471 | DOI:10.1080/07357907.2024.2334249 (Source: Cancer Investigation)

Comprehensive Analysis of N6-Methylandenosine-Related lncRNAs in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Correlation With Prognosis, Tumor Progression, and Therapeutic Response
This study aims to develop a prognostic signature based on m6A-related lncRNAs for clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Differential expression analysis and Pearson correlation analysis were used to identify m6A-related lncRNAs associated with patient outcomes in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Our approach led to the development of an m6A-related lncRNA risk score (MRLrisk), formulated using six identified lncRNAs: NFE4, AL008729.2, AL139123.1, LINC02154, AC124854.1 and ARHGAP31-AS1. Higher MRLrisk was identified as a risk factor for patients' prognosis in ccRCC. Furthermore, an MRLrisk-based nomogram was dev...

A 15-Inflammation-Related Gene Signature Predicts the Prognosis of Patients With Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma
Cancer Invest. 2024 Apr 14:1-17. doi: 10.1080/07357907.2024.2340577. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTChronic inflammation promotes the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and PDAC-related inflammatory tumor microenvironment facilitates tumor growth and metastasis. Thus, we aimed to study the association between inflammatory response and prognosis in patients with PDAC. We conducted the whole transcriptomic sequencing using tissue samples collected from patients diagnosed with PDAC (n = 106) recruited from Shandong Cancer Hospital. We first constructed a prognostic signature using 15 inflammation-related ge...

Development of a Novel Prognostic Model for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Insights into Immune Cell Interactions and Drug Sensitivity
Cancer Invest. 2024 Apr 14:1-17. doi: 10.1080/07357907.2024.2340576. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTEsophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) presents a five-year survival rate below 20%, underscoring the need for improved prognostic markers. Our study analyzed ESCC-specific datasets to identify consistently differentially expressed genes. A Venn analysis followed by gene network interactions revealed 23 key genes, from which we built a prognostic model using the COX algorithm (p = 0.000245, 3-year AUC = 0.967). This model stratifies patients into risk groups, with high-risk individuals showing worse outcomes and lower chem...

Veliparib ‑Induced Toxicity in Cancer Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta‑Analysis
In this study, we investigate the veliparib‑induced toxicity in cancer patients. Databases were searched for RCTs treated with veliparib. We found veliparib could increase the risk of hematologic and gastrointestinal toxicities. Anemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and nausea were the most common toxicities. Patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal tumors tend to have a higher risk of high-grade neutropenia; patients in the first-line setting tend to have a higher risk of high-grade anemia and neutropenia than those in the ≥ second line setting. Patients receiving higher dosage of veliparib tend to have a higher risk...
