A Preliminary Study of Ultrasound-Guided Microwave Ablation for Nonpuerperal Mastitis Treatment
Conclusion: For NPM with small lesions in a single quadrant, MWA therapy is a direct and effective method. For larger lesions involving two or more quadrants, the combined treatment of MWA with incision and drainage showed significant improvement in a short period. MWA treatment of NPM has importance for further research and clinical applications. (Source: Breast Care)

HER2-low breast cancer: where are we?
Background Breast cancer is traditionally classified into three clinical subtypes based on hormone receptor and HER2 status (i.e., luminal-like, HER2-positive and triple negative). Each subtype has distinct clinical-pathological and molecular characteristics and requires tailored treatments. Recent research efforts have been focusing on a new classification, identifying the so-called “HER2-low” category, including tumors characterized by a low level of HER2 expression (immunohistochemistry score 1 + or 2+ without ISH amplification). Emerging evidence shows that also patients with HER2-low tumors can derive benefits fr...

The impact of breast awareness on the early detection of breast cancer in young women: A systematic review
Conclusions No studies evaluating the impact of breast awareness exclusively in young women were identified. Limited evidence of benefit of breast awareness was found. Guidelines that recommend breast awareness should be reviewed and qualified with an explanation that the evidence of benefit is weak. Women have limited screening options available to them for the early detection of breast cancer until they reach mammographic screening age. The study was registered on Prospero (ID: CRD42021279457). Ten-Year Survival of Breast Cancer in Iran: A National Study (Retrospective Cohort Study)
Conclusion: This nationwide study performed on breast cancer patients indicated an improvement in the overall survival rate of these patients over the past years (the 5-year survival rate increased from 71% in 2011 to 80% in the present study), which might be attributed to advances in cancer management.Breast Care (Source: Breast Care)

The Predictive Importance of Body-Mass Index on Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Patients with Breast Cancer
Purpose: To investigate the effects of body mass index (BMI) on the response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in Turkish patients with local and locally advanced breast cancer. Methods: The pathological responses for the breast and axilla were assessed according to the Miller-Payne grading (MPG) system. Tumors were grouped into molecular phenotypes and classified as response rates according to the MPG system after completion of NACT. A 90% or greater reduction in tumor cellularity was considered as good response to treatment. Additionally, patients were grouped according to BMI into (Source: Breast Care)

Refining therapy in patients with HER2-positive Breast cancer with Central Nervous System metastasis
Background: Brain metastasis (BM) are a major clinical problem in metastatic breast cancer (MBC), occurring in 50% of patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 positive (HER2+) breast cancer. Historically omitted from clinical trials, recent studies of novel HER2-targeted agents have focused on HER2+ BM patients, addressing stable but also progressing BM and leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LMC). Summary: This review aims to summarise the most relevant data on treating patients with HER2+ BM and LMC. Key messages: The treatment paradigm for patients with HER2+ MBC has changed. Local therapies play an important...
