This article is based on a selective literature search for relevant studies regarding HRT use and the risk of breast cancer in general population or BRCA carriers, risk of breast cancer recurrence or risk for breast cancer in situ (BCIS). Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Agonists During Gonadal Chemotherapy for the Effect on Pregnancy Outcome and Ovarian Function in Premenopausal Patients With Breast Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Phytoestrogen Treatment for Menopausal Vasomotor Symptoms after Breast Cancer
Conclusion: As we cannot prove a benefit of plant extracts in the treatment of menopausal symptoms in breast cancer patients, different herbal preparations should be analyzed in randomized controlled trials in order to find sufficient and safe new treatment options for symptomatic menopausal breast cancer patients.
