Neck pain from studying
Does anyone else suffer from severe neck pain/stiffness from the long hours? Even before med school I had some issues, and seeing a massage therapist regularly was the only thing that really ever worked for me. Recently it's gotten really bad, to the point that I'm having tension headaches as well. Has anyone had experience with this? Would you be willing to share what has worked for you or suggest some changes I can make to my study routine? I study mostly at school, so when I am sitting... Profit Margins?
One of the main reasons I’m going into dentistry is the whole private practice/ “be your own boss” option it gives you unlike medicine and pharm. these days. Mainly bc my dad owns businesses and I love it, but don’t love his type of businesses / headaches involved. With that being said, I’m SUPER into the business side of dentistry and wanted to get an insight on how profit margins vary based on types of procedure (excluding specialty procedures). Basically what are the margins per... Profit Margins? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Botox and EMG denials by PM & R?
Hey all, Has anyone come across insurance denying payment for EMGs/Botox for migraines done by PM&R? I was reading a thread on Phyzforum saying some insurances are denying payment for these procedures done by PM&R and only Neuro can do them? How is that possible? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

going to school internationally, then wanting to practice in US
so I'm a US citizen browsing through some international medical schools to apply to- I heard there is additional paperwork, headaches and hoops to jump through to practice in the US if you go to an international medical school... can someone send me a link of what those additional steps are? Thinking Europe, Australia, or Caribbean in addition to Canada, which I know is an easy transition to the US (but difficult to get into).. 2) does this include the big 4 Caribbean medical schools? 3)... going to school internationally, then wanting to practice in US (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is Neurology for me?
I'm a bit undecided as I take a liking to both Neurology and Psychiatry. I found the neuroscience part in preclinical years fascinating and performed my best at those. I learnt the material quickly and did not put much effort in. I think of studying the brain (specifically memory, behaviour) and sleep medicine, pain medicine, psychopharmacology and treating headaches, epilepsy, sleep disorders and think this is for me but then I think of strokes (which I would hate to manage) and then I...
