Investigation of 3D printing of toddler foods with special shape and function based on fenugreek gum and flaxseed protein
Int J Biol Macromol. 2023 Oct 2:127203. doi: 10.1016/j.ijbiomac.2023.127203. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe practicability of using corn and flaxseed protein as printing inks for manufacture of printed products specifically designed for toddlers as a dysphagia diet with high precision and special shapes with addition of fenugreek gum (FGG) was investigated. 3D printing was used to process grains and dysphagia-compatible food (corn) into a dietary product with attractive appearance which was also easy to swallow. Rheological measurements shown that appropriate amount of flaxseed protein (FP, 0-10 %) can reduce the sticki...

Effect of e ‐waste materials as filler in the flax woven fiber reinforced polymer composite for a sustainable environment
AbstractThe main aim of the present investigation is to fabricate waste printed circuit board (WPCB) particles and woven bidirectional flax fiber mat reinforced polymer matrix composite through a hand layup technique followed by vacuum bagging technique and examine its mechanical properties using the Universal Testing Machine (UTM), compression testing machine, and Shore D hardness tester. The WPCB particles with weight percentages of 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 were used as reinforcement along with five layers of flax fiber mat to improve the adhesion behavior of epoxy resin with reinforcements and thereby improve the properties...

Lipids in the reproduction of sires
AbstractThe main class of nutritional interest for lipids are fatty acids (FA), which correspond to 90% of triglycerides, the main form of lipid storage in both plants and animals. FAs serve as a source of energy in the diet of cattle; however, they also have an important non-caloric effect on animal organisms as they are important components of the physical and functional structures of cells and participate in the composition of steroid hormones. As such, research has studied the improvement of semen quality through the provision of polyunsaturated FAs in bull diets, as well as the use of FAs in semen extenders in order t...

A low-toxic, robust, and sensitive colorimetric sensor for the peroxide value of edible oils with CsPbBr3 NCs in ethyl acetate
This study evaluated the performances of CsPbBr3 NCs in nine low-toxic solvents and investigated the potential response mechanism to PV. The results presented that CsPbBr3 NCs in ethyl acetate displayed the highest photoluminescent intensity and the most uniform distribution. The results performed that the micro-morphology and crystal structure of CsPbBr3 NCs in ethyl acetate were similar to that in toluene, demonstrating the potential excellent performance. Under optimum conditions, three methods, including photoluminescence (PL)-decreased, wavelength-shifted, and phone-based colorimetric methods, were established to eval...
