Assessing the promoting effect of compound microbial agents on flax dew retting: Based on the relationship between metabolites and core genera
In this study, 16S rRNA sequencing and GC-MS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry) techniques were employed to examine the relationship between bacterial succession and metabolite alterations during the dew retting process of flax. The results indicated that the addition of compound microbial agents may affect the production and transformation of metabolites by re-establishing bacterial communities and promoting the degradation of pectic substances and the release of metabolites, and the best retting effect was achieved under the combined addition (BA). In addition, Chryseobacterium, Bacillus, and Pseudoonas were closely ...

Atorvastatin and Flaxseed Effects on Biochemical Indices and Hepatic Fat of NAFLD Model in Rats
CONCLUSION: ATO therapy along with flaxseed controls NAFLD-related indices and FBS. Therefore, it can be stated with caution that ATO and flaxseed can be used to improve lipid profile and reduce the complications of NAFLD.PMID:37288026 | PMC:PMC10241636 | DOI:10.4103/abr.abr_21_22 (Source: Biomed Res)

Effect of supplementation of roasted oilseeds and phytochemical-rich herbages on nutrient utilization, methane emission, and growth performance in finisher lambs
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Jun 8. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-27968-1. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTRuminal methanogenesis is a major contributor to global environmental pollution in the agriculture sector. Dietary intervention modestly abates enteric methane emissions in ruminants. Therefore, the present experiment was conducted to evaluate the combined effect of dietary oilseeds and phytochemical-rich herbages on enteric methane emission, growth performance, and nutrient utilization in lambs. Forty-eight finisher Malpura lambs were divided into 4 groups (RSZ, RSP, RSLZ, and RSLP) of 12 each in a factorial design. Lamb...
