Endovenous laser therapy with echosclerotherapy as a hybrid method for chronic venous insufficiency: experience in 200 patients and literature review
CONCLUSIONS: A high efficiency of 98% was observed (196/200 patients) at the 12-month follow-up after hybrid EVLA with UGFS treatment. Follow-up UGFS at four weeks after laser ablation showed 99% efficacy at the 12-month postoperative follow-up. Major complications after the hybrid method treatment combining EVLA with UGFS were not observed. Hybrid methods are more effective (98-99%) and give a lower chance of relapse.PMID:34982439 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202112_27624 (Source: European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences)

Circulating tumor cells in patients undergoing androgen deprivation therapy with versus without cryosurgery for metastatic prostate cancer: a retrospective analysis
CONCLUSIONS: CTC was a prognostic and treatment response marker for mPCA. ADT plus cryosurgery could reduce CTCs and prolong PFS vs. ADT alone in mPCA patients with low metastatic volume.PMID:34903228 | DOI:10.1186/s12957-021-02455-4 (Source: Cancer Control)

Efficacy and Safety of Contact Cryosurgery in the Treatment of Earlobe Keloids
Skinmed. 2021 Oct 1;19(5):357-360. eCollection 2021.ABSTRACTEarlobe keloids, although not a life-threatening disease, can severely impair a patient's quality of life. Contact cryosurgery is a safe technique for the management of earlobe keloids with tolerable side effects. The aim of this study was to assess the safety and efficacy of contact cryosurgery in the treatment of earlobe keloids through a 1-year prospective study. We treated 15 Caucasian women ranging in age from 8 to 54 years with a total of 18 earlobe keloids. Excellent improvement was noted in 11 earlobe keloids, with a 75%-100% reduction in the volume of the...
