Anti-hypertensive effects of < em > Callisia fragrans < /em > extract on Reno-vascular hypertensive rats
CONCLUSIONS: These findings demonstrated that C. fragrans extract can mitigate hypertension and alleviate ventricular hypertrophy and renal dysfunction in reno-vascular hypertensive rats, at least in part via ACE activity inhibition and diuretic property.PMID:35442839 | DOI:10.1080/10641963.2022.2065286 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Hypertension)

P34 Medicines optimisation for infants and children attending a childrens cardiology ward for day case diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures
Conclusion This project has demonstrated the value that can be gained from a pharmacist providing ongoing reviews of medicines used by families when they attend a children’s cardiology centre. Day case admissions in a specialist hospital may be seen as low priority to professionals. However, this is an ideal opportunity to provide support to families who use medicines at home. Resveratrol Supplants Captopril's Protective Effect on Cardiac Remodeling in a Hypertension Model Elicited by Renal Artery Stenosis
Conclusion: Independent of captopril, resveratrol prompts cardioprotective effects on cardiomyocyte remodeling and fibrosis resulting from renovascular hypertension in 2K1C rats.PMID:35370490 | PMC:PMC8961705 (Source: The Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine)
