Nbeo part 1 help
Hi! I’m retaking my part 1 in august and this is one of the few attempts I have left, so I’m very desperate for any and all test taking advice, strategies, and tips you may have , especially if you took and passed the exam in the last 2-3 years.
I personally struggle with anatomy/physiology and optics, and somewhat of the immune/path/micro discipline on the score report .
I have kmk signature and optoprep.
thank you in advance. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Chances of getting into top programs?
Hi everyone! I am a current healthcare/pharma communications professional who is looking to change careers into medicine and I was wondering if you think I have a good chance of getting into a top post-bac pre-med program (e.g., Bryn Mawr, Scripps, Goucher). First, a little bit about me:
My whole life I dreamed of being a doctor and have always been good at (and interested in) biology, anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience. I applied to Emory University as a pre-med student, but ultimately...

I have only used KMK and no doubt my score went up with each attempt but just not enough to pass
Currently I am at 208 scaled score
i got 69% in anatomy and that is my weakest area
Please share your tips and what helped you most in anatomy

Is it truly over? A desperate question from a foreign medical student
Here's where I'm at right now, I'm a 2nd year medical student from Ethiopia , I failed my first preclinical year of med school twice...well failed once and withdrew once(which means no grades on the second attempt)....I passed on my third attempt(with a C in anatomy but B in everything else), and now am for the first time in the last 6+ years of my life putting in the 100% effort med school requires(as I should have always been doing)....my grades in my second preclinical year are pretty...

I have a pretty bad IA, it's for academic integrity violation :/. Accidentally had my phone out during an exam, which resulted in a violation, although I only received a warning from this. I would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions or advice. Thank you!

Online anatomy and physiology course recommendations?
Hello, had a quick question. I start at CSU this Fall and was thinking it may be a good idea to review anatomy and physiology before I start (since it’ll be 16 units total). Does anyone have any recommendations for any specific courses? There’s a ton of human anatomy/physiology on Coursera but I’d prefer a veterinary, animal or even comparative course. Anything would be appreciated!!! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Anatomy & Biochem in same quarter/semester?
I'm planning my next fall semester/quarter and wanted to know if anyone here has taken Anatomy AND Biochemistry in the same semester/quarter, and if they felt it was doable? These would be my only two classes and I'd be volunteering each week a maximum of 8 hours. Thoughts? Or avoid and separate these two classes? Thanks in advance (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How to correctly say cadaver?
I recently learned that the term cadaver is no longer correct to use anymore, and donor is the more appropriate word. I was a TA for the gross anatomy lab at my school, and my school used (and still uses) the term cadavers. How would I use donor in a sentence? When I try and use it, it feels like it's missing a noun after it. Thank you for the help. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

UNECOM vs. DMU
I know there have been threads asking the same question but I wanted to still get different viewpoints while providing some information more specific to myself. I currently have a seat at UNECOM but was recently also accepted into DMU.
UNECOM
Pros:
Closer to SO (2 hour drive/train)
P/F (not true P/F though)
Consistently hear about the great community of the school
Very established in the Northeast
Heard they give ample study time for boards and have a great Anatomy...

USF vs OSU
Having second thoughts on my decision so I figured I’d ask one more time to see if anyone has feedback.
USF
pros
Close to family in state
Shiny new medical school building in a great location
No class rank (at least in m1 and m2)
Warm weather
Know some people already in Tampa
Cons
Tiered grading
High soap rates compared to the avg
Finals week at the end of each block contains 3 tests (in house, anatomy practical, and NBME cumulative) which seems kind of stressful. 2...
