What to do if you don ’t think vet school is for you anymore
I’ve been a student at Ross and I’m still feeling burned out and strained from that experience. I withdrew from their program in August and pretty much went straight into the masters program at LMU. I can’t say that I’m extremely happy. I’m not really enjoying the courses for the masters program (except for anatomy, which is taken with the vet students). And the little town is very similar to St Kitts as far as limited things go, but it’s definitely 150% better than the island. It just... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Program Prerequisite Entry
Hello, so I recently submitted my PTCAS application not too long ago and it finally got verified, however I realized that after looking through one of the downloaded applications for one school, I noticed that I accidentally entered in the wrong course for the Anatomy prerequisite. Is this going to affect me at all, or will it be fine since they still see all the courses that I have taken? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

anatomy and physiology ar community college
I took 31 credits at a community college (pre calc+bio 1+2 english composition) then I transferred to a 4 year college and taking other prer reqs here. I have taken upper level bio courses and calc 1 and 2 here. So I am now plnning on taking natomy and physiology 1 and 2 at the CC I attended because I can't fit them in my schedule during fall and spring and only that CC offers them in winter or summer. How will this look? I'm only taking anatomy and physiology because of MW-AZ and Mw-IL. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Doing body but fell in love with advanced MSK/Neuro MRIs
Currently an R4 doing a body fellowship next year. As I'm going through fourth year rotations, I'm getting the chance to read more Neuro and MSK MRIs and am really enjoying it. I think apart of my problem was Body applications were due so early and as an R2/R3 everything was confusing before studying for CORE. But now I'm enjoying learning the complex anatomy and sequences. I know body MRI is growing every year but the volume is still dwarfed by MSK and Neuro. I'm wondering what my... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Options for Pancoast tumor pain
One of the local family docs called me - his 100 year old patient was having arm pain and Horner's syndrome, and lo and behold we found a huge Pancoast tumor invading into brachial plexus, with bony mets in the cervical spine as well. He's sending her to hospice, but wants to know if I have any palliative procedures I can do first. Would any of you try a neurolysis? Anatomy seems too messy to try a brachial plexus catheter. Any other ideas? Should I just let hospice do what they can with... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Community College or 4 Year College Thoughts
I just need some seconds thoughts on this. My post bac semester starts in one week. I'll be taking biology anatomy and physiology parts I & II organic chemistry I & II, and Physics I & II. I decided to take bio a&p because I noticed I missed questions repeatedly in this area while studying for the MCAT and while going over the syllabus for the course at my college, I feel it will help me with the content gaps I suffer from and reinforce some of the information I have from prior bio courses... Biology Prerequisite
Filling out my secondary applications right now, and 3-4 of the schools I'm applying to specifically ask for 8 semester hours of "general biology". Given that I only have 4 credits from General Biology, despite having about a bajillion hours of genetics, microbio, biochem, environmental science, anatomy, and physiology, should I register for General Biology II this year to meet the prerequisites or should my other biology classes suffice? Nbeo part 1 help!!!
Hi! I’m retaking my part 1 in august and this is one of the few attempts I have left, so I’m very desperate for any and all test taking advice, strategies, and tips you may have , especially if you took and passed the exam in the last 2-3 years. I personally struggle with anatomy/physiology and optics, and somewhat of the immune/path/micro discipline on the score report . I have kmk signature and optoprep. thank you in advance.
