Advertising as PHD
I have come across a few therapists advertising as
Bob Smith PhD LCPC
And different other variations
When I dig further, the PhD is in sociology some other field that is not Psychology.
I feel this is misleading to people as even I was confused, but took the time to dig a little more. I think it makes it look like they are Clinical PhD psychologists when they are not.
Is this ok by psychology advertising standards? Would this even fall under that? Or would it fall under therapist standards? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Finding new patients?
Hello everyone, I am hoping to start my own private psychiatry practice after residency.
I am wondering how those of you with experience in private practice advertised their practice to attract new patients.

Ideas for how to bring in more patients to clinic?
Hey all, D3 here. Currently I'm struggling with having enough patients to actually work on in clinic. I'm actually down to one solid patient that I see once a week, and one other that I'll see like once every couple months. lol, the well is a little dry. I was just wondering if anybody had any good advertising, or marketing, ideas on ways that I could get more patients to treat in clinic. Need help with internship experience
Hi all,
I'm about two months into my Pre-Doctoral internship (Clinical Psychology PhD student here) and I have nothing to do. I'm talking having 4-7.5 hours per day (out of an 8 hour workday) where I have literally nothing to do associated with my internship. I spend only 10-15% of my time doing clinical work when the program was advertised as providing clinical services 45-50% of the time. The Purpose of this Forum
In the age of COVID, a lot of changes have had to be made in the interview process for the match. There has been an uptick in residency programs wanting to get the word out about their program and just share information about how they are doing things this year (and for the foreseeable future). This forum is a place for that. It is not for advertising any services or products. It is strictly for residency programs to share information to applicants.
