R4 body fellowship - attending input
I just matched my residency that advertises that I can complete a full body fellowship in my R4 year? Would this be enough to say I did a fellowship and look for private practice jobs? What questions should I ask before doing this? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Jeff Rose MCAT strategy/content course
I've been considering taking a review course for the mcat and ran across this guy named Jeff Rose on craigslist that advertises pretty good success as an online mcat tutor. He says that he has both taught for Kaplan and did national marketing for them in the past. Has anyone heard of him? I've spoken with him via email a few times and once over skype for his demonstration. He seems like he knows what he is talking about but, when I do a search for him on the internet, only 2 marketing... Jeff Rose MCAT strategy/content course (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Moonlighting in Residency
Checking out programs while preparing to apply this coming cycle, and some advertise moonlighting for upper level residents. I have a stay at home spouse with kids at home, so the idea of bringing home a little more cash to meet family finances sounds nice. Can anyone comment on whether or not moonlighting opportunities are worth considering when comparing programs? I would imagine there would be no way to do it during rotations like Head & Neck, but maybe during research months or softer... Moonlighting in Residency (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Can't Refer Own Patients to Personal Training, Correct?
I was going through some hospital training this morning and the topic of Stark Law was brought up. It got me thinking as I am in the middle of studying to become a CPT to get some extra cash as I finish my masters (applying to med school afterward) - If I maintain my certification long-term, I would need to make sure to not mention or advertise my side job at all to any patients I see as a physician under Stark Law, correct? I was thinking specifically about doing CPT stuff during my... Can't Refer Own Patients to Personal Training, Correct? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I got screwed....arggg....new car leased
So I saw an ad of a CMax Hybrid Energi 2017 with MSRP of 31k and with rebates and incentives, dealers advertising at 22K. I came to the dealer, the salesman said he could not honor such price if I buy, but if I lease , he will be able to do 350/month x36nmonths then the residual is 10800 usd after 36 months. So I figured wow what a great deal because after all the math showed I have this car for just 20K (After 4K subtracted from federal hybrid tax deduction). I asked him if I could claim... Should there be more Pod schools?
While I think it is essential for Podiatry to advertise more at the undergrad level, I know opening anymore school will create problems with the match. So, I do not think there should be any more additional Pod schools...at least not until the standards for admissions requirement changes for all nine schools and there are more applicants than the number of seats available. What do you guys think? How about closing a school down?... Should there be more Pod schools? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Zyplex
The seller should be a respectable company Zyplex with a physical address and phone number. Check and make sure the customer service is reliable. Search for the customer support contact form or phone number on the company's website. Look for additional third-party advertising. There must be a firm money back guarantee. From where? Since you can never be sure that a product will work for you or not, it does not matter if it's about dozens of testimonials from current or past customers. Each of... General Surgery 5 and 7 year Programs
I have heard from friends on the trail last year that there is an increasing number of programs which require research years I would like to create a list of schools that require a one or two year research period, or "strongly" recommend it. I have even heard of programs which strong-arm residents into research even though they weren't advertised that way. We can compile them in this thread. I think this would be helpful for applicants like myself who want to limit their applications to 5... General Surgery 5 and 7 year Programs (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Building a outreach client base - what happens if you leave a group?
Okay so no one take this the wrong way, but I have a question about building an outreach client base in a physician-owned private practice general path group that has never taken interest in advertising or building anything to speak of in terms of outreach clients. If I were to put a lot of effort into this when I get there, I would like the ability to bring these clients with me if I were to leave the group down the road (not that I think that would happen, but if things didn't work out...
