Quick question about secondaries
Hello all, long time lurker on these forums.
-I was just wondering where secondaries get sent to. Is it just our email that we used for AMCAS? I haven't been sent any emails from any schools or anything, I believe I clicked do not advertise to me on my MCAT.
-When are secondaries getting sent out this year? I'm starting to get kind of paranoid cause I haven't been sent any yet (I was verified on like the 14th)
-Finally, when should I send LOR's? I have all of them in on AMCAS so should I...

Effective Advertising for New Practice
I am opening a new practice location and am having trouble getting the word out about the practice. I know that there is a demand for psychiatric services in the area. I have sent out flyer to local therapist but am looking for other ways to connect with patients in the area. Does anyone have any effective ways that have worked for them? I am taking commercial insurances and offer flexible hours. Thanks. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Ditch the "physician anesthesiologist" expression
I've been seeing this more and more over the last few years, and if it were to have effect at all, it would hurt us.
You don't see neurosurgeons advertising the fact that they're physicians by prefacing their specialty with the word "physician". Nor have I ever heard anyone (much less cardiologists) use the phrase "physician cardiologists".
Using the word "physician" in our specialty title - delegitimizes the term "anesthesiologist." Anesthesiologists are physicians. Is there another...

i know this is an odd Q
So, buying a house again, hoping this one will be the more permanent one. When you guys do business transactions, would you ask them to call you Dr in the paperwork? I usually keep low profile and do not advertise. But now we live in a time when everyone else with PhD's and other degrees are being called Dr?? I have heard Pharmacists, NP's and professors asking to be called doctors. j/c (Source: Student Doctor Network)
