VA Inpatient Pharmacist Advert
I perused a VA clinical pharmacist advert that seemed to have a filling function, inpatient. Additionally, it had rounding, AB stewardship, pharmacokinetics, etc. Is the job description a hybrid staff position, or are they just throwing the kitchen sink in the advert? How does the VA classify these positions, clinical vs. staffing hospital? Talk to you soon. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Documentation setup
Hey friends, New private practice 4 months in. Extremely busy and growing exponentially. Receiving 15 to 40 new referrals per week. I want to build a very efficient process. Currently using laptops with dragon to document, and taking a lot of my documentation home with me as I am currently seeing around 15 new patients per day ( plus everything else). I know that I won’t be seeing 15 new patients every day indefinitely, but in getting started I have been very fortunate, have advertised well... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Per diem for NAPA - direct contact vs using a locum agency
Hello, There is a per diem job in NH advertised by NAPA and some locum agencies. I was wondering if it is better to contact them directly and negotiate the rate/contract vs using any locum company to represent me. I am not worried about a buyout - I won't consider working for NAPA full time. I read here on forums that NAPA doesn't like to negotiate, but I guess it also can be area specific and experience may differ from one person to another. It would be reasonable to think that I should... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Remote work from home pharmacist jobs
This question is regarding remote work-from-home pharmacist jobs. If a job is advertised as fully remote from home, how does the company check that you are actually living in that state where you are licensed to practice? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Brazilian butt lift death
My daughter died from a Brazilian butt lift — and I want to warn others about this ‘shop of horrors’ “It’s just the worst thing,” said Nancy Negron. “You aren’t supposed to bury your children.” nypost.com This story is all sorts of weird. Any physician can perform plastic surgery in NY? Surprising that they advertise no BMI limit. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Postdoc fellowship?
Hi all, I am not sure if this is the right platform to post this on, however, I am not sure where to find some answers. The practice that I work at (they strictly do psychological assessment) is seeking a second postdoc and I am unsure of where these job postings would typically be posted on. Does anyone have any insight on if there are sites to nationally or locally advertise this position? I have been thinking of contacting a few universities to see if I can post it on their sites but... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Addiction Psychiatry fellowships will use the Match for the class of 2023-24
I haven't really seen this advertised anywhere but for rising PGY-4s who are planning to apply into addiction psych, it's looking like they are going to be going through the Match for next year. I'll admit, I was really looking forward to not having to repeat this process again, yet here we are. I'm not sure why the switch happened; it didn't seem like most programs filled anyway. Warning for graduating residents!
I am sure this has been said many times before... But I am finishing my first year out of residency and I wanted to state my experience briefly for those to read and hopefully avoid a bad first experience themselves (even though based on everyone I talk to, this seems like a right of passage in Podiatry). 1) If you see a job ad that has been up for months... take it as a warning sign! Also pay attention to whether its a job thats advertised year after year (high turn over) 2) If an... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Saint Xavier (SXU) MSMS Program with Linkage
Does anyone know anything about the SXU SMP program in Chicago? Its an 11 month masters that offers linkage to 3 medical schools. On their website they say that the Top 20% of the class has guaranteed interviews to the "Ponce Health Sciences University MD Program" (yes I know it's in PR, yes I do speak spanish). They also advertise that if you get at least a 3.3 GPA in the program you get guaranteed interviews to "Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine" and "A.T. Still University"...
