Iberia consensus on strategies to prevent and manage irritation by topical retinoids in facial and trunk acne
CONCLUSIONS: Skin irritation caused by topical retinoids in facial and trunk acne is an expected, mild, and controllable reaction if proper prevention and management guidelines are followed, meaning that it should not be a reason for treatment discontinuation.PMID:38663728 | DOI:10.1016/j.ad.2024.03.032 (Source: Actas Dermo-Sifiliograficas)

Molecules, Vol. 29, Pages 1972: Pharmacological Activities of Lonicerae japonicae flos and Its Derivative & mdash; & ldquo;Chrysoeriol & rdquo; in Skin Diseases
Conclusion: The cutaneous route is the best delivery approach to chrysoeriol across the skin barrier. However, toxicity, dosage, and safety assessments of chrysoeriol in a formulation or nanochrysoeriol on the human epidermis for application in skin diseases must be further investigated. Sophorin mitigate flutamide-induced hepatotoxicity in Wistar rats
In this study, sophorin was used at a dose of 100mg/kg body weight in purified water via oral route for 4 week daily whereas, flutamide was used at a dose of 100mg kg/b.wt for 4 weeks daily in 0.5% carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) through the oral route for the induction of hepatotoxicity. Flutamide administration leads to enhanced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, an imbalance in redox homeostasis and peroxidation of lipid resulted in reduced natural antioxidant level in liver tissue. Our result demonstrated that sophorin significantly abrogate flutamide induced lipid peroxidation, protein carbonyl (PC), and also sig...

TRPV3 promotes sebocyte inflammation via transcriptional modulating TLR2 in acne
Biochim Biophys Acta Mol Basis Dis. 2024 Apr 20:167195. doi: 10.1016/j.bbadis.2024.167195. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAcne is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous unit. Transient receptor potential vanilloid 3 (TRPV3) is an ion channel that is involved in inflammatory dermatosis development. However, the involvement of TRPV3 in acne-related inflammation remains unclear. Here, we used acne-like mice and human sebocytes to examine the role of TRPV3 in the development of acne. We found that TRPV3 expression increased in the skin lesions of Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes)-injected acne-like mice and...
