Changes in redox state of albumin before and after kidney transplantation in patients with end-stage renal disease.

CONCLUSIONS: Actual reduced albumin levels were found to exceed pre-transplant levels on or after day 30 following kidney transplantation unlike immediate restoration of renal function. Renal function was recovered immediately following kidney transplantation, but reduced albumen concentration increased above the pre-transplant levels only from day 30 after transplantation.
