Despite the effectiveness of hormone replacement therapy to relieve symptoms of menopause, many women are afraid of the associated risks, particularly with synthetic therapy. Synthetic HRT Synthetic hormones, have been approved by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency), and as such have undergone thorough clinical testing to ensure their safety. Containing conjugated equine oestrogen and synthetic progesterone to replace the hormones found in the body, this form of therapy is used to treat the symptoms caused by peri menopause, menopause and post menopause. This therapy is still regarded amongst health professionals as the most effective treatment for uncomfortable symptoms associated with the menopause.
