Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-American Association for Cancer Research Career Development Awards Application deadline: October 29, 2013, at noon, Eastern Time Decision date: March 2014 Annual Grants Reception and Dinner at the AACR Annual Meeting 2014: April 8, 2014 - Grant recipient must attend the Grants Reception and Dinner and formally accept the grant. Support for travel and complimentary registration to attend the Annual Meeting will be provided separate from the grant. Start of grant term: July 1, 2014 The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-AACR Career Development Awards represent a joint effort to encourage and support junior faculty who are in the first five years of a faculty appointment (at the start of the grant term) to conduct pancreatic cancer research and establish successful career paths in this field. The research proposed for funding may be basic, translational, clinical or epidemiological in nature and must have direct applicability and relevance to pancreatic cancer. The grants provide $200,000 over two years ($100,000 per year) for expenses related to the research project, which may include salary and benefits of the grant recipient, postdoctoral or clinical research fellows, graduate students and/or research assistants, research/laboratory supplies, equipment and publication charges for manuscripts that pertain directly to the funded project.
