The action “In Reims Sport your health” aims to help sedentary patients suffering from chronic pathologies come back to regular sports activities. The study's main objective was to analyze the effects of sports activities adapted to this population, over a one-year period, comparing the balance of entrance and exit tests.MethodThe study was a prospective cohort of patients from Reims, suffering from chronic diseases, included from January 2013 to June 2015. The chronic diseases studied were obesity, diabetes, cancers, low back pain, cardiovascular diseases, neurological deficits and joint pain. The comparison of the sports assessments results before and after courses was made with a paired t-test.Results463 patients aged 51.61 years (SD = 14.81) were included, with 75 % of women. The study population had a weight of 86.95 kg (SD = 25.04) for a body mass index of 31.58 (SD = 8.73).
