Statins Reduce Peri-procedural Complications in Carotid Stenting.

CONCLUSIONS: This study shows that pre-interventional statin medication has a protective effect against peri-interventional stroke, MI, or death in patients with internal carotid artery stenosis treated with stent-angioplasty.
