Genetic Determinants in MRSA Carriage and Their Association with Decolonization Outcome
In conclusion, this explorative study showed a higher eradication failure rate in complicated MRSA carriers with ciprofloxacin-resistant MRSA lineages, which are predominantly healthcare-associated. Further studies are warranted to confirm the higher eradication failure risk of ciprofloxacin-resistant lineages, and identify the underlying mechanisms.PMID:38217690 | PMC:PMC10787693 | DOI:10.1007/s00284-023-03581-w
