Predictors for delayed awakening in adult glioma patients receiving awake craniotomy under monitored anesthesia care

ConclusionOur retrospective analysis of patients receiving monitored anesthesia care for awake craniotomy revealed that delayed awakening after propofol discontinuation occurred more often in patients with IDH1 wild-type tumors and repeated craniotomies. Also, delayed awakening was associated with somnolence during functional mapping and a lower gross total resection rate.
